The District Co-ordination Officer Hyderabad Muhammad Hussain Syed while exercising the powers vested upon him under section 14-A (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1898, has assigned powers of Special Judicial Magistrates to eleven Revenue Officers of the district, to try the offences under "Price Control and Prevention of profiteering and Hoarding Act, 1977".
"Sindh Essential Commodities Price Control and Prevention of Hoarding Ordinance 2006" as well as other provincial and federal laws relating to price control for the time being inforce with the powers to raid and try the offences on the spot in their assigned jurisdictions.
According to details available to this office, Mukhtiarkar Revenue Taluka Hyderabad City Lal Dino Mangi, Mukhtiarkar Estate Hyderabad Muhammad Ibrahim Almani, Mukhtiarkar Estate (H.Q) Hyderabad Asadullah Abbasi and Assistant Mukhtiarkar Hyderabad City Wazqar Ahmed Afridi have been assigned powers of Special Judicial Magistrate for all the police stations of taluka Hyderabad city.
Similarly Mukhtiarkar Revenue Taluka Latifabad Rashid Mehmood Siddiqui, Assistant Mukhtiarkar Latifabad Inamul Haq and Assistant Mukhtiarkar Estate Hyderabad Mumtaz Hussain Chachar have been assigned powers of Special Judicial Magistrate for the jurisdictions of all the police stations of taluka Latifabad.
Likewise Taluka Mukhtiarkar (Revenue) Qasimabad Kazi Mushtaque Ahmed and Assistant Mukhtiarkar Qasimabad Gada Hussain Abro while taluka Mukhtiarkar (Revenue) Hyderabad Rural Akhtar Ali Shaikh and Assistant Mukhtiarkar taluka Hyderabad Rural Irfan Ahmed Almani have also been assigned powers of Special Judicial Magistrate for the jurisdictions of all police stations of their respective talukas.
