Attorney General of Australia, Phillip Ruddock and Federal Minister for Law Justice and Human Rights Wasi Zafar here on Monday discussed the abduction issues committed by their immigrant parents. Ruddock informed the minister that the abduction of Australian children of non-Australian origin by their parents had become a huge issue in his country.
"Everyday there is a news about the abduction of Australian child by his or her immigrant fathers who want to take back their children to their own countries. He said that such events caused huge concern for the Australian people who see it as "snatching of a child from mother's laps.
Talking to Attorney General of Australia, Federal Minister for Law Justice and Human Rights Wasi Zafar stressed some legal system to tackle such situation. The minister said that these issues could only be addressed comprehensively if other countries agreed to execute decrees of each others courts in child custody cases."
