Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan Limited (SCBPL) and AKD Securities (private) Ltd have signed an MOU, whereby priority banking account holders of SCB who also have online trading account with AKD Trade will be provided with the facility of electronically transferring funds from SCBPL to AKD Trade account.
Additionally, both SCBPL and AKD promote their respective investment and personal banking services to the high-end personal banking market segment. In this respect AKD trade account opening facility will become available at SCBPL priority banking branches. Likewise, SCBPL account opening facility will be available at AKD Trade branch offices.
Present at the signing ceremony from SCBPL were Sameer Chishty, Country Head Consumer Banking; Aalishaan Zaidi, General Manager Wealth Management; and from AKD Securities Nadeem Naqvi, CEO; and Ali Hemani, GM AKD Trade.
Since the inception of online stock trading in Pakistan by AKD Trade in 2002, shares are being bought and sold electronically. However the payment method for these transactions is manual. This collaboration will automate the previous payment method, thus ensuring ease through technologically advanced payment and settlement options.-PR
