The lawyers community will boycott the courts across the province on Friday, January 19 to protest against the police for not arresting the culprits involved in the murders of AAG Arif Bhinder and a bar member Niaz Sindhu.
The Punjab bars Council (PBC) has given strike call and requested the district bars to hold protest meetings and also bring out processions. The district bars have been asked to pass resolutions against the government and police on their failure to arrest the culprits.
Lahore Bar Association (LBA) has also announced to take out a procession from Aiwan-e-Adal to provincial assembly of Punjab on Friday. Moreover, the bar President Imran Masood Chaudhry while addressing an emergent meeting of the bar said that they will continue their protest till the arrests of culprits.
He said that basic obligation of the government is to maintain law and order and protect the life and property of its citizens. He said the government, which failed to provide protection to its citizens has no right to stay in power. He demanded immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the assassinations of Arif Bhinder and Niaz Sindhu and award of exemplary punishment to them.
