Sindh government on Thursday asked all its departments to clear their outstanding electricity bills within three days. According to details, a high-level meeting was held in the office of Sindh chief secretary to discuss outstanding electricity bills of various government departments, with Additional Chief Secretary Ghulam Sarwar Khero in chair.
The meeting convened on directives of Sindh chief minister and chief secretary decided that all government departments would clear their outstanding electricity bills of KESC and Hesco within three days. It was decided that disputed bills would also be paid under legal term 'under protest' and later settled under reconciliation process according to rules.
