Vice chancellor, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore, Professor Dr Manzoor Ahmad has called for close co-operation in knowledge-sharing among the Muslim countries.
He was addressing a group of 28 undergraduate students of the College of Agriculture and Marine Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat (Oman), during their visit to the university.
The students are currently in Pakistan on a study tour of the Pakistani universities. The vice chancellor said the UVAS is developing collaborations with national and international organisations for joint academic and research projects for the development of the livestock sector.
The UVAS has already signed MoUs with various national and foreign universities and organisations, including Washington State University, USA, the National Centre for Competence in Research North-South, Switzerland, ChoongAng Vaccine Laboratory Taejeon, Korea, Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, Pakistan Army, Pakistan Tanners Association, University of Health Sciences, Lahore, Islamia University Bahawalpur, etc, he added. The visiting students also took a round of all the departments and clinical services being provided at the university.
