Sindh Minister for Local Government and Katchi Abadies Muhammad Hussain Khan has expressed dismay over the performance of KWSB in SITE Town. In this connection, he issued directive for immediate improvement, otherwise stern action would be initiated against responsible officers.
Addressing an open Katchery in Pak Colony, SITE Town, the provincial minister said that various complaints of contaminated water, swage overflow and scarcity of potable water indicate the carelessness on the part of officers of KWSB posted in the town. He said that due to the slackness of some officers, residents of UC-1 and UC-2 are facing immense difficulties. There is no doubt that SITE Town needs more water but managing the water provided at present is also essential to facilitate the locals, he observed. He also directed for timely completion of ongoing development projects, which was essential for ensuring maximum benefits to the masses.
Action should also be taken against the contractor working on water and sanitation projects for adopting delaying tactics, he further said.
On complaints of load shedding by Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), the minster directed the SSGC to resolve the matter immediately.
He also issued orders to TPO SITE to take immediate action against those involved in aerial firing during marriage and other ceremonies. Action against marble factories and encroachment of the roads should also be taken, he added.
He further said that the Haq Parast believe in service to the masses without any discrimination and development projects in all unions of the town is the proof of our acts. Town Nazim SITE Izharuddin Ahmed Khan said that development projects worth Rs 210 million are being carried out from the resources of the town.
