Former prime minister of Azad Kashmir and President of people's Muslim League Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry has said that his party would launch a movement against the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government after February 5.
Addressing a press conference before leaving for Brussels on Sunday he said that he would not participate in the joint working group of Azad Kashmir government and All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) of Mirwaiz group. He said that he would also try his best to unite the two groups of the Hurriyat Conference.
About the Ema Nicklson report he said the report has been presented in the European Parliament on November 27 2006 which is totally biased and partial. He said that he would also play his role to reject it.
Barrister Sultan said it has been mentioned in the report there is no democracy in Azad Kashmir and the government is not utilising the funds for the welfare of the quake survivor but is obliging its own workers. He said that Ema Nicklson has also mentioned it in her report that Azad Kashmir is not issue of the right of self-determination but a water dispute between the two countries.
The Pakistan Muslim League (PML) leader said the report is unjust, partial and demanded its rejection. He said the report has been prepared on the directives of India. Barrister Sultan said that during his one-week visit he would utilise his energies to restore the image of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.
He said the Kashmir issue is in its crucial stage, adding that President General Pervez Musharraf has presented his proposals for its solution but the PML would not allow the Kashmir division. He also demanded fresh election in Azad Kashmir under the supervision of the United Nations, European Union, OIC and other impartial institutions of the world.
