Provincial Minister for Chief Minister's Inspection Team (CMIT) Colonel Shuja Khanzada chairing a meeting here on Sunday said that he would monitor the schemes regarding replacement of outdated and dilapidated portable water and sewerage lines in the province.
Two special teams have been formed for this purpose, he added. The minister said that rusty pipelines of drinking water and sewerage were being replaced with the cost of Rs five billion in the province while another amount of Rs five billion would also be allocated in the second phase for this purpose.
He dilated that water filtration plants were also being installed at union council level to ensure provision of clean drinking water to the people. He said that if any complaint and irregularity of lying substandard pipelines was found, the concerned contractor would not only be blacklisted but cases would be registered against him, he added.
