The traffic police have initiated strict action against motorists driving non-registered (Applied for) and tinted glass vehicles or having non-approved specimen number plates in the federal capital territory.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Dr Sultan Azam Temuri on Sunday told APP that 255 motorists driving such vehicles have already been fined during the last two days.
The campaign will continue till full compliance of the traffic rules, he warned.
Dr Temuri said Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) is now focusing to check minor traffic rules violations after successfully restricting people against major violations.
