Engro Chemical Pakistan Limited (Engro) has announced final cash dividend at Rs 3 per share ie 30 percent, for the year ending on December 31, 2006. It is in addition to the already paid dividend at Rs 6 per share ie 60 percent. Total dividend announced by the company stands at Rs 9 per share, or 90 percent, for the year 2006.
This has been recommended by the board of directors of the company in a meeting held on Saturday. The company''''s profit before taxation stood at Rs 3,444,656,000 in the year 2006 as compared to Rs 3,219,551,000 in the year 2005 while profit after taxation was Rs 2,547,326,000 in the said period against Rs 2,319,082,000 during the previous year. The net sales of the company amounted to Rs 17,601,783,000 in the period under review against Rs 18,276,277,000 a year earlier.
