Director General, Special Communication Organisation (SCO), Major General Shahid Maqbool has said that digital landlines, WLL (CDMA), SCOM (GSM) and internet facilities are being provided in most difficult terrain of AJ&K and Northern Areas aimed at facilitating the people of these areas.
He said economic dividends were being drawn by the local populace generated by the virtue of rapid expansion of the telecom facilities. He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of new digital exchange here, says a press release.
He said that installation of new digital exchange of 2000 lines was a revolutionary step for the people of Sarhota-II and its peripheral areas. He emphasised that SCO was a national organisation and revenue collected from subscribers in the form of bills was remitted to the government, which enables us to plan new developmental projects.-PR
