Conferences, moots, or meetings cannot resolve the problems confronted by the nation, nor compensate anyone, we would have to form a grand alliance to get rid of military rulers and tendering the resignations unanimously and simultaneously when the date of presidential election be announced, said Liaquat Baloch a leader of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal/JI.
While addressing a symposium on "Islam Zinda Hota Hay Har Karbala Kay Baad" on Tuesday chaired by Mufti Hidayatullah Pasroori local chief of MMA.
He said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had delayed the resignation so that "Tahaffuz Khatm-e-Nabuwat" and "Aqeeda-i-Risalat" bill could not opposed in the Assembly. He said that our opponents are criticising the MMA for not tendering resignations on the issue of Hudood-Allah, while the fact is that we had delayed this step for an appropriate time so that Government could not hold by-elections to replenish these seats.
Now we would resign when the vote of confidence would be demanded from the assemblies. It would be a blow at appropriate. He said that leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and PPP were giving fresh date for their arrival after intervals but it did not affect their prestige and repute because people know that prevailing situation was not suitable for their arrival.
He said that we had expelled our members of assemblies who betrayed the party but PML-N and PPP did not take action against those who changed their loyalties.
He said that now cat is out of bag, General Pervez Musharraf who had already weakened the roots of Pakistan's ideology, wanted to get himself elect from the existing assemblies to stay in uniform and he wanted to complete the USA agenda. He said that all opposition parties are agreed to launch a drive to end the military dictatorship but PPPP was not agreed to take any practical action.
