The UN Population Fund Assistance (UNFPA) in Pakistan for 2007 was formalised with the government partners here on Wednesday at a signing ceremony held at the Ministry of Population Welfare.
The UNFPA representative in Pakistan, Dr France Donnay signed the Annual Work Plans for 2007 with the representatives of the Ministries of Population, Health, Education, Women Development and Statistics Division.
The Annual Workplans for 2007 are part of UNFPA's 7th Country Programme of Assistance to Pakistan, which was approved by the Government in early 2004. In 2007, UNFPA will provide almost 9 million dollars, including emergency funds, to support activities in 11 Districts.
