The city district government, Multan has asked the administrations of all four towns to initiating grand operation against illegally constructed and defaulted shopping plazas and ordered sealing of such trade centers who have failed in depositing their payable commercialisation fee.
The city district government has also ordered charging commercialisation fee from marriage halls and those established without parking space must be sealed. The orders were issued in a commercialisation committee meeting held with city district nazim Mian Faisal Mukhtar in the chair on Tuesday.
No compromise could be done on city's beautification. The commercialisation committee also found default and failure of big companies in paying due commercialisation fee, which were include Honda Breeze showroom, Bundo Khan restaurant, Zenzibar restaurant and Jalil center.
The city district nazim also took very serious note on the construction of shopping plazas in violation of rules, approved maps and without keeping space for parking.
The city district nazim pointed out shopping plazas constructed without parking space and warned the officials that their irresponsible attitude would not be tolerated at any level.
Speaking on the occasion, Multan DCO Iftikhar Babar said that officials involved in building construction had been performing their duties dishonestly and he warned them of facing stern action for not improving their behaviour.
The commercialisation committee meeting also decided that proposed map of commercial plazas would be issued in the first phase and final approval to be done on the completion of building construction. The commercial plazas if failed in executing construction work in four years of approving the map would re-apply for the map approval.
