Pakistan's growing economy is an opportunity for foreign entrepreneurs to expand their businesses. This was stated by Werner Gutmann, Sales Manager, Swarovski at presentation of its Abaya, making debut in Pakistan, here on Wednesday.
Gutmann said that Pakistan has provided better opportunity to foreign business community than India and he hoped that the turnover would be more than expected in Pakistan.
He said that the Swarovski business in Pakistan would target ladies Abaya initially and later it would expand to Shalwar Qameez. He said that all dress designs would be according to religious parameters and local tradition.
He informed that Pakistan was the first Muslim country outside the Middle East where the company has started its business.
He said, "Swarovski originates from Austria and has been working since 1862. It is recognised as an international industry for crystal items, including jewellers, wardrobes, ladies purse, furniture, sports, casuals, fashion wear and shoes. It also adds quality sparkles to international galas like Academy Awards and The Cannes Film Festival. Also, renowned design and art schools of the world are affiliated with Swarovski." Dr Daniel Swarovski was the founder of the cut crystal industry where his fifth generation is promoting his concepts in the world market, he said.
