City Naib Nazim Nasreen Jalil has assured all out support on part of city government for the improvement of healthcare and education facilities in the city and lauded the efforts of Ziauddin University, community of Sikanderabad and Rotary Club Karachi Centennial for their mutual efforts for community uplift.
While inaugurating the adoption ceremony of Boat Basin School here on Saturday, Ms Jalil urged other organisations to take part in such activities realising their responsibilities towards the society.
She distributed books and bags to the schoolchildren and also visited the Sikanderabad Primary Healthcare Center and appreciated the Ziauddin endeavour for the female literacy programme and human skill development initiative.
Syed Farrukh Mazhar, President of Rotary Club of Karachi Centennial said that the adoption of Boat Basin Primary School by the Rotary Club Centennial was a milestone in the establishment of a partnership endeavour to promote education and to broaden community's access to a better life.
Vice Chancellor of the Ziauddin University, Shahid Aziz Siddiqui, said that it is indeed a great occasion and the Ziauddin University had set itself a vision of contributing towards the betterment of the mankind.
