Emergency declared in DHQ, THQ hospitals

Punjab government after bomb explosions in Islamabad and Peshawar has imposed an emergency in the DHQ and THQ hospitals of the province. The leaves of the medical superintendents, doctors and all the staff members are cancelled. Additional staff and adequate arrangements for provision of medicines are made to cope with any untoward incident.
The health department has issued necessary instructions to EDOs health and medical superintendents in this regard. In DHQ hospitals and THQ hospitals, emergency arrangements of 100 beds have been made, in the emergency wards, in case of any untoward incident. The action is desired by the government within 24 hours.
