The National Textile University (NTU), Faisalabad, has a strong link with industry, ensuring that the teaching to its students is in line with the requirements of the industry and all out efforts will be made to bring the industry to the classrooms to give the practical experience to the students, said Admiral Masood M. Biabani (Retd), Vice Chancellor of the University.
While counselling the new entrants of the NTU, attending the spring semester 2007 of the university. The vice chancellor said that the university has selected 173 students out of 3,524 applicants through a highly competitive process of selection for a four years duration textile course in three main disciplines ie Textile Chemistry, Weaving and Spinning to equip the students with life long skills and knowledge, useful for working in the textile sector of the country.
The engineering is an intellectually demanding profession and in today's competitive working environment, the entrants need to be multi-skilled and adaptable, the vice chancellor said and added that our record shows that a huge number of engineering students who have graduated from the NTU go right to the top of their career.
The vice chancellor said that the university stands committed to a set values and norms, both moral and intellectual, which we would like our students to cultivate and to reflect in their conduct on the campus and beyond the walls of the university. He exhorted the students to focus their full attention towards their studies in campus to gain the highest position in the textile sector after completion of their studies.
