Substantial changes were market in Jodia Bazar in chemicals sector Caustic Soda flakes Saudia .(Per Kg) turned higher by Rs 1 to Rs 34, Sodium Sulphate was down by 10 paisa to Rs 9.20, NJ Taiwan close with gain of Rs 7 to Rs 121, and oxalic acid China ended higher by Re 1 to Rs 39.
Petroleum Jelly Sulphuric acid Hard (DDBSA) finished hihger by Rs 5 to Rs 88, PVA Japan closed higher by Rs 2 to Rs 154 and Sitara Cuastic Soda flakes finished lower by Rs 1 to Rs 33. Hydro Sulphite China 88 pc quoted at Rs 44 and Germany's closed higher by Rs 12 to Rs 75.
Acetic acid Taiwan finished higher Rs 2.20 to Rs 66 and Korean closed higher b Rs 1.25 to Rs 65,.Hydrogen peroxide 35 pc Taiwan closed lower by Rs 4 to Rs 31, and Korean 5 pc quoted at Rs 31.
ON THE COMMODITY WHOLESALES MARKETS WIDESPREAD VARIATION ON GRAM SIDE: gram Australia closed with a loss of Rs 75 to Rs 3175 and better type was quoted at Rs 3325 gram garda ended lower by Rs 100 to Rs 3400 and better teyp was quoted at Rs 3500, and gram dal garda Punjab shed Rs 100 to Rs 4050 and better type was quoted at Rs 4150, yellow peas Canada fell by Rs 25 to Rs 1625 and better was quoted at Rs 1700, beetle Chana No1 finished lower by Rs 50 to Rs 3700 and better type was quoted at Rs 3800, beetle 50x50 low type closed lower by Rs 50 to Rs 3500 and better type lost Rs 100 to Rs 2600, dal beetle fell by Rs 100 to Rs 4300 and better type was quoted at Rs 4400, bajra closed down by Rs 50 to Rs 1050 and better type was quoted Rs 1350, rapeseed Nawabshah closed higher by 10 to Rs 1000 and better type was quoted at Rs 1010.
Dadulane rose by Rs 10 to Rs 890 and better was quoted at Rs 900, Mirpur was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 900 and better was quoted at Rs 935, tile low type rose by Rs 50 to Rs 1500, and better type was higher by Rs 25 to Rs 1725.
However, on Monday and Teusday markets were closed on account of Ashura Muharram and hence no variations. The opening day, Wednesday trading was too lethargic and only one variation in juwar low type was marked which gained Rs 15 to Rs 965 and better type rose by Rs 20 to Rs 475.
On Thursday heavy fluctuations were reported owing to pent up buying. Commodities such as Irri 6 went up by Rs 50 to Rs 1350, Basmati Bagr jee also rose by Rs 250 , basmati D-98 turned higher by Rs 250 , basmati 386 closed higher by Rs 200 to Rs 2850 and better was quoted higher at Rs 2950, Sela basmati inferior type ended higher by Rs 300 to Rs 2900, and better type rose by Rs 350 to Rs 3000, and Super Karnal new rose by Rs 50 to 3350 and better rose by Rs 50 to Rs 3350 and other was higher quoted at Rs 3450.
Gram garda finished higher by Rs 25 to Rs 3200, and better type was quoted higher at Rs 3350, gram garda Punjab closed higher by Rs 25 to Rs 3425 and better was quoted higher at Rs 3550, gram dal Punjab rose by Rs 100 to Rs 4100 and better quoted higher at Rs 4200, yellow peas Canada rose and was quoted higher at Rs 1650 and better turned still higher at Rs 1725, yellow peas dal Canada rose by Rs 50 to Rs 1850 and better quoted at Rs 900, beetle chana I turned higher by Rs 50 to Rs 3750 and better quoted at Rs 3850, beetle 50x50 higher by Rs 50 to Rs 3550 and better quoted at Rs 3650, bajra was higher by Rs 10 to Rs 1060, better was quoted at Rs 1350,
At Jodia Bazar dyes from China Naphthols (per lb) AS 100 pc moved higher by Rs 5 to Rs 125, AS 80 pc finished lower by Rs 10 to Rs 100, and ABS 100 pc was quoted at Rs 150, basis China blue BB edged down by Rs 50 to Rs 400, China sky blue 5B closed higher by Rs 15 to Rs 95.
Orange II 201 finished lower by Rs 17 to Rs 60 and acid Scarlet 3R gained Rs 4 to Rs 80, Pak dyes Khaki US closed lower by Rs 5 to Rs 120, Brown GG turned lower by Rs 5 to Rs 120, Brown MS Cone quoted at Rs 120, basic colours Aramine O closed down by Rs 3 to Rs 49, Olive finished down by Rs 3 to Rs 50 and yellow GR finished down by Rs 4 to Rs 50.
On Friday grain markets depicted sluggish trend as no fluctuations was reported. Traders reported trading could resume from Monday next. On Saturday only a few changes in prices were observed.
