Speakers at a seminar here on Monday warned the sitting rulers to abstain from striking any deal with the Indian government on Kashmir issue, against the wishes of Kashmiri people because it would be meaningless. They were speaking at a seminar held under the aegis of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, here on Monday in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day.
The speakers were of the view that restoration of real democracy is necessary for strengthening the Federation which is facing threat due to wrong polices of present rulers. Tehrik-e-Insaf Lahore president Muhammad Shahbir Sial, speaking on the occasion, said that the four-point formula of General Pervez Musharraf on the Kashmir issue was neither practicable nor effective.
Ameer-ul-Azeem, the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami said that the rulers were singing songs of peace with India just to please the Americans and ready to compromise with India on the Kashmir issue but they should keep in mind that Pakistani would not spare the traitors and the struggle of the Kashmiris would not go waste, he added. Barrister Humayun Ehsan, Jawad Shamsi, Ameen Zaki, Salman Awan and Yasir Gillani also spoke on the occasion.
