SINGAPORE: Asia's jet fuel cash differential strengthened on the back of demand boosted by colder-than-expected weather, with the discount narrowing to 17 cents a barrel on Tuesday from a 21 cent discount in the previous session.
Asia's cash differential for 500ppm gasoil was however unchanged at a discount of 12 cents a barrel.
Although there is upcoming refinery maintenance in March in Taiwan and Japan, exports from China remained a concern for regional sellers as the latter's refining capacities have grown over the years.
China exported a total of 15.4 million tonnes of diesel in 2016, up 115 percent from a year ago.
TENDERS: India's Essar Oil offered up to 70,000 tonnes of 500ppm gasoil for March 8-12 loading through a tender closing on Feb. 9.
Sri Lanka's Ceypetco has received offers ranging from $1.44 to $2.47 from six traders for gasoil scheduled for March 10-13 arrival.
