Jalal Sepehr Combines Fine Art Photography and Persian Rugs

Jalal Sepehr is a talented self-taught photographer and artist, who was born in Tehran, Iran in 1968, where he still lives and works. Jalal started taking pictures in 1994 while living in Japan (1991-96). He creates stunning fine art photographs by using beautiful Persian carpets and rugs as a pretext. The title of his Red Zone series refers to the unending state of alarm thrust upon the Middle East, with endless warning bells signalling war and political unrest weve all subconsciously almost grown to expect.
