The Zila Nazim Matiari Syed Muhammad Ali Shah has said the development work of 547 different development schemes in the district was in full swing at total annual allocation of more than Rs 328 million and added that the same to be completed within a stipulated period. This he said while issuing a press statement on Monday.
He said as many as 179 development schemes of roads were being implemented in the district out of which 109 development schemes have been taken into hand with the annual allocation of Rs 63.4 millions under ADP 2006-07.
Similarly, 68 development schemes of roads were also being carried out at the annual allocation of Rs 98.5863 million under the Special Package of Road Development and two schemes of Farm to Market roads were being constructed at the cost of Rs 3.6807 million under the Sugar Cess Development Fund, he added.
He said in addition to that 277 development schemes of Education Works Sector were being implemented. Out of which 207 development schemes have been taken into hand at the annual allocation of Rs 61.900 million and 12 development schemes were being implemented at the allocation of Rs 0.750 million under MPA Priority Programme.
Besides, the work on 91 more development schemes of Building Department were also in progress. Out of which 69 development schemes have been taken into hand with the allocation of Rs 8.091 million from District Development Savings. Nine schemes were being implemented with the annual allocation of Rs 47.00 millions under the Special Package for Rural Development and other 13 development schemes were also being executed with annual allocation of Rs 41.200 millions under ADP 2006-2007.
He said most works of development schemes have been completed above the 50 percent and added that the remaining works would be completed by the end of June this year.
