It was perhaps an insane Maulvi Sarwar, who pulled the trigger that killed Zille Huma, but what about the law and order system that let him off in 2003, when he had confessed to killing over four women.
Afterall the system considered it appropriate, to let Maulvi Sarwar, assume for himself the role to kill women, who in his judgement were immoral, just because the relatives of these women failed to pursue their cases. Does this not speak ill of the sick mindset of those serving the system or as state prosecutors, who let him off, to kill again. It is Almighty Allah alone, who can sit in judgement over matters of life and death, not an individual based on his self assumed right to serve as judge, jury and hangman.
How many more beasts are roaming the streets free to kill, murder and rape, because of the failure of law enforcement agencies and the government, to enforce "Rule of Law". As long as insane male chauvinist people serve in the government, innocent victims will continue to pay the price with their blood, honour and dignity. Today a lady minister has paid the price for failure of a system, which the establishment has been protecting for short term political exigencies. Tomorrow it might be some other poor innocent soul. Does the establishment have the moral courage and political will, to take to task all those involved in letting Maulvi Sarwar off in 2003.
