It was a sad moment to see the prestigious building engulfed in fire. It is intriguing that as usual KPT snorkel was blamed for its height and pumping inefficiency. It never dawned on PNSC management to peep into their in-house poor safety management standards.
All buildings are equipped with heating sensors, fire detection and extinguishing system, be it halon or new products. In addition to efficient sprinkler system, which must maintain pressure and regular fire fighting drills are recommended. The minister has ordered an enquiry headed by CEO. The result will be eye an wash as how he can blame himself and his Director Admin responsible for evidenced lapses of in-house system failure either non-existent or not maintained.
The irony of our system never permits honest finding. In a civilised society the CEO and director should have relinquished charge for independent enquiry by fire management experts, rather being remained glued against the rules of business and bypassing all government rules due to good connections. This is a plea of a plebeian to identify the impropriety of the top management. Hope that juniors will not be made scapegoat for the follies of top executives who are holding PNSC hostage.
