Residents of Lutkaran, Pir Jehanian and adjacent area on Thursday staged a demonstration against the effluent and toxic water of local textile mills which caused destruction of their crops and spreading different diseases in the area.
The demonstration was led by Shoaib Khan Dasti, Nazim of the area. Later they called on the District Co-ordination Officer Muzaffargarh Tariq Najib Najmi and apprised him of their grievances. Upon this DCO ordered the EDO(Community Development) Malik Kher Muhammad Budh to take immediate action against the mill owners.
