The Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued a notice to Deputy Attorney General of Pakistan and directed him to appear before the court in connection of a petition, which was filed by Ex-federal minister Ahmed Mukhtar, who challenged the inclusion of his name in Exit Control List (ECL).
The petitioner contended that he had to go abroad for his medical check up but the respondent accountability court was not allowing him to leave the country.
Neither trial in a reference against him was concluded nor prosecution succeeded to produce any solid evidence against him, he said. The court, after hearing his counsel at length, has issued notice to a law officer and directed him to assist the court.
