Punjab University will organise a "Review Performance Audit Conference" next month to oversee research activities. Vice-chancellor Lieutenant General Arshad Mahmood (Retd) revealed this in a meeting with young PhD faculty members.
He said that Punjab University had developed research culture and all possible facilities and allowances were being provided to researchers. It is necessary to review research activities so that better results can be obtained in future.
He said that due to review performance audit conferences of teaching departments, it has helped to assess the performance of departments and it has provided a chance to heads of departments to collaborate each other to solve their problems. He also hoped that by holding such conferences the researchers would be able to understand research methodology that would bring fruitful results.
