District Nazim Lahore Mian Amer Mahmood has asked the concerned authorities to allocate a plot for establishing a dispensary at Tajpura Housing Scheme. He also urged to prepare an estimate for the construction of building on a plot, which already reserved for Boys High school.
Chief Engineer LDA Asif Hameed Khan, EDO (Works) CDGL Siddique Chatta, officials concerned from WASA and Nazim Union Council 57, Malik Shaukat Ali were also present on the occasion.
Mian Amer Mahmood directed Director Estate Management LDA for selling the remaining commercial and residential plots in the scheme through open auction. He ordered to eject illegal occupants from official property launch an anti-encroachment derive to recover precious state land.
For facilitating smooth flow of traffic in the area, the District Nazim directed preparation of estimate for expansion of Link Road from Harbanspura to Tajpura graveyard and installation of street lights there. He also ordered immediate start of construction work of one-kilometre long track from Canal Bank to Tajbagh Rilway crossing at a cost of Rs 5.7 million.
Talking to the local residents on this occasion, Mian Amer Mahmood informed them that construction of 26 roads of Tajpura scheme was underway and 60 percent work had so far been completed. The remaining work would be finished during the current month, he assured. Installation of two tube-wells would also be completed within two months at a cost of Rs 10 million.
He further said that sewerage pipe of 36 inches diameter was being laid on Main Road, Tajpura at a cost of Rs 15 million which would solve sanitation problems of the area to a large extent. Construction of water supply and sewerage at Razzaq Colony, Madina Colony, Shaukat Town and Imam Town was being carried out and it would be completed shortly at a cost of Rs 15 million, he added.
