Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) has spent an amount of Rs 92 million on system rehabilitation and restoration of electricity in Kaghan Valley and its adjoining areas, disrupted during the heavy snowfall and land sliding in the recent past.
This was stated by Chief Executive Pesco Brigadier Sakhi Marjan during his visit to Kaghan Valley to review the rehabilitation work and the efforts carried out by Pesco's technical staff for electricity restoration in the remote and hard areas. Superintendent Engineer, Hazara Circle Nazir Ahmad, XEN Mansehra Mudassar Shah and senior Pesco officers also accompanied him.
Chief Executive Pesco Brigadier Sakhi Marjan eulogised the Pesco's technical staff for their efforts rendered for restoration of electricity in unfriendly climatic conditions. According to the details recent heavy snowfall and land sliding in the Kaghan valley not only disrupted the routine daily life but also damaged the whole infrastructure of power distribution system.
On this occasion notables and people of the area appreciated the presence of Chief Executive Pesco Brigadier Sakhi Marjan and for taking personal interest for restoration of power supply. They assured him for their full cooperation and support. Chief Executive Pesco thanked the people for their cooperation and urged to pay their electricity bills in time so that Pesco revenue could be increased and more developmental schemes could be started so that their difficulties could be minimised and smooth, uninterrupted power supply could be maintained.
