Shell Tameer started the year with a bang with its first activity, a Module I Bright Ideas workshop, which was held in the Shell House here, and drew a record number of people.
Through interactive discussions, group work and lively group presentations, the diverse group learned the generation and evaluation of business ideas essential for successfully starting a business enterprise.
Participants from a wide variety of backgrounds worked together in small focus groups on case studies, each bringing his/her unique value to the exercise. The eagerness of the participants was reflected in the quality and quantity of interaction and questions.
The workshop included an introduction of Shell LiveWire from Social Investment Manager Afshan Khan. Babar Shahbaz from Smeda and Maqbool Shamsi from SME Bank also spoke about their respective organisations. Shell stakeholder Humair Yousuf Wajeeha Khan of Olive fame, and Manan from Bamboo Blinds also addressed the group as role model providing real-world examples of youth enterprise.
Tamer's Training and Monitoring Manager Atif Ikram conducted the workshop. The event was well co-ordinated by the Tameer team including Durriya Zaidi and Razi Rahman.-PR
