Sindh Health Minister Syed Sardar Ahmed has urged the local youth and students to concentrate on improving their vision and capacities to help Pakistan emerge as a progressive country and a beacon for others.
He was speaking at the prize distribution ceremony of the fourth Sindh Students Convention at Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) here on Thursday.
The chief guest, expressing his views with regard to speeches rendered by the first three best speakers of the three-day event, said it was high time that focus was laid on realising individual responsibilities instead of lamenting others.
The topics of the convention ranging from "Unity is Diversity to Future of Pakistan" lies with disciplined and enlightened youth to "Inter-Faith Dialogue for International Peace," he said were extremely relevant.
"Realising our responsibilities as individual citizens and as a nation is much needed," the minister said. The Sindh Health minister particularly mentioned Dr Adib-ul-Hasan Rizvi in the field of healthcare and Dr N.A. Baloch in the field of Archaeology and Research besides several other sincere, honest and committed individuals largely ignored by the nation in general.
