The Geo Television has pleaded guilty before the Lahore High Court tendering unconditional apology in a contempt case. According to the private TV channel, the administration of Geo Television appealed before the full bench presided over by Justice Syed Zahid Hussain for an unconditional pardon for telecasting erroneous information in its programme 'Gumnam'.
The court in its order said that the said TV channel and all the newspapers of the group would prominently print and telecast contradiction and the apology. The learned court also ordered that the TV channel and all the newspapers of the group would continue carrying these contradiction and apologies till the next hearing of the case. The court has been adjourned till March 12, 2007.
