Ufone announced launch of "Public Demand" under its pre-paid regime for the mass market with the lowest call-rates and 30 seconds billing. Ufone "Public Demand" offers a calling charge of only 99 paisas to any network anywhere in Pakistan. The package also works on 30 seconds billing and the price offered is the most competitive in the cellular market.
The Public Demand customers can also avail the U-circle offer of 5 numbers (4 Ufone & 1 PTCL) with calling rates of 45 paisas per 30 seconds only. Naveed Khalid Butt, Chief Officer Customer Operations while giving the details of Ufone's expansion plans for 2007, said that a network expansion contract of $550 million is being rolled out these days.
Ufone is acquiring the most modern network infrastructure (EDGE enabled) based on Release-4 standard for future mobile communication, highly compatible for smooth and seamless migration to the 3G UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunication System).
The network expansion roll out has been meticulously planned to provide flawless coverage and excellent connectivity to our subscribers' differentiating Ufone from the others by a reliable and efficient network.
