Sheema performs at Arts Council

Classical artist, Sheema Kirmani along with her team enthralled the audience with her mesmerising performance at 'Dance Drama' held here at Arts Council Auditorium on Friday. The programme was organised by Theatre Committee of Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi in collaboration with Aurat Foundation to commemorate International Women's Day.
'Ghazals' of renowned poet Fahmida Riaz were played in the background. Later, a documentary titled 'Khawateen Ne Kya Khoya Aur Kya Paya' (What women gained and lost), prepared by Aurat Foundation was also shown. The documentary showed what progress the women had made during the last year. Renowned writers, Sheen Farrukh, and Fatima Hasan on the occasion read excerpts from their books. Well-known 'Sitar' player Turrab Ali also gave performance.
