Bollywood veteran actor Farida Jalal who has starred in many hit films including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, became the latest victim of death hoax on social media. The rumour spread like a wild fire leading to condolences on Twitter.
But, the actress has dismissed death rumours saying, "I am hale and hearty. I don't know from where these baseless rumours are coming from. Initially I laughed, but from last 30 minutes my phone has been constantly ringing and everybody is asking the same question. It's a bit irritating, I wonder why people spread such rumours," Indian media reported.
Farida Jalal will soon be seen in Irrfan Khan's 'Sargoshiyan' where she plays a role of a Kashmiri. Farida Jalal is one of our senior most Bollywood actors who epitomized the concept of a loving and understanding mother in Bollywood since 90s.
This is not the first time the death hoax of a famous Bollywood celebrity went viral, earlier, Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit and many others fell victim to it.
