Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (Pima) will hold provincial convention on 25th March. This was stated by President Pima, Dr Abu Bakr Shahid while talking to newsmen on Monday. He said that over 1,000 doctors would participate in the convention. Chairman Sheikh Zayed Medical Hospital, Anwar A. Khan will be the chief guest on the occasion.
He further said that the aim of Pima was to gather Muslim doctors on a platform and remind them their duties towards humanity being a doctor. He told that Pima had given 10,000 lenses to needy persons free of cost.
He maintained that many camps of Pima were working in Sudan and elsewhere in Africa and doctors were providing free medical treatment to patients. He explained that after the earthquake in Pakistan, members of Pima were continuously providing medical treatment for residents of Bagh, Muzaffarabad and Balakot. He said that Pima was working on more than 12 projects, and Prevention of Blindness is one of them.
