Activity picked up on the grain market on Tuesday as many players participated in forward buying in spite of higher prices, dealers said. On the seed side rapeseeds Nawabshah gained Rs 50 to Rs 850-860, rapeseeds Mirpurlane low type gained Rs 60 while better type rose by Rs 40 to Rs 915, they said, rapeseeds cakes quoted higher at Rs 335-340, they said.
Til low type was higher by Rs 75 to Rs 1700 and superior rose by Rs 100 to Rs 2000, they said. On the cereal side makai good type was up by Rs 25 to Rs 1250 while the low type did not show any change in process of trading at Rs 1200, they said. Mexipak wheat old and new both types lost Rs 5 to Rs 1210-1225, they said. On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh shed Rs 20 to Rs 1410-1430, the added. Other types held their overnight levels, they said.
