It gives me great pleasure in congratulating the Ministry of Textile Industry on the ground breaking ceremony of Pakistan Textile City, Karachi. The project aims at adding value to our textile export profile in the world with state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities.
The government is aware of the fact that the private sector is the engine for growth in the country and its role in a public-private partnership, as witnessed in running the textile city project, will lead to bringing in investment and progress in trade and commerce.
Apart from enhancing production capacity and value-added exports, I am especially pleased to see that the Project would be able to generate a significant number of jobs, which will be a major move forward in bringing prosperity to the country.
I wish all the best to the Ministry and the Board of Directors and Management of the Pakistan Textile City Company in their endeavours.
