PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti Sunday said that Bhutto family had rendered unprecedented sacrifices for democracy in the country, saying ANP will stand with every difficult time with PPP. He urged the people to stand united to foil conspiracies against democracy.

Addressing the earth breaking ceremony for the establishment of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Children Hospital in Mardan, the chief minister said that due to PPP and President Asif Ali Zardari, the province achieved identity and provincial autonomy.

The PPP stalwart and senior minister in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet, Rahimdad Khan and district general secretary ANP Imran Mandray also addressed the ceremony.

Those present on the occasion were included member provincial assembly, Ahmad Khan Bahadar, Secretary Health, Munir Azam, Chief Executive, Mardan Medical Complex & Principal Bacha Khan Medical College, Dr. Zia-ul-Islam, Commissioner Mardan Mohammad Adil Khan, former district nazim, Himayatullah Mayar and other concerned officials.

He said that Pakthuns never forget blessings and if any difficult time comes on PPP then ANP will be standing beside it.

The chief minister said that carrying politics according to own philosophy and ideology is the democratic right of all political parties and political leaders. However, the conspiracies for derailing of democracy should be avoided. He said that those demanding elections should wait till the completion of the constitutional term of the government.

Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and her family have rendered great sacrifices for establishment of democracy and development of the country. He said that the present democratic set up in the country is due to the sacrifices of the leadership of PPP. He said that for paying tributes to those sacrifices, the first public sector children hospital to be established in Mardan is named after Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.

The hospital will provide better health facilities to the children of the people of Mardan, Swabi and Malakand Division. He said that the foundation stones for the establishment of the buildings of the Bacha Khan Medical College and Abdul Wali Khan University would be laid soon. These institutions, he said would guarantee the bright future of next generation. He said that youth is the future of the country.

The government accords high priority to education and health sectors and millions of rupees are being spent to address masses' problems. He said that it would be the first hospital in the province in public sector where children would be treated. The project would be completed within the estimated cost of Rs 2.16 billion on 40 Kanal lands and work on a similar project would soon be started in Peshawar also.

Chief Minister said that work on Phase-3 of the Mardan Medical Complex in DHQ Hospital Mardan will shortly be started.
