'Mean Girls' actress Lindsay Lohan has recently revealed a traumatic experience where she was targeted by customs officials at Heathrow airport because she was wearing a headscarf.
The actress told a British talk show 'Good Morning Britain' that she was stopped while traveling to New York. "A custom official opened my passport and saw Lindsay Lohan and started apologizing immediately, but then said 'But please take off your headscarf,'" Lohan said. "And I did, it's okay. But what scared me was in that moment how would another woman who doesn't feel comfortable taking off her headscarf feel?," she added.
When she was asked why she was wearing a headscarf, she said it was out of respect for the Turkish women she had met with on her trip. "I was... leaving Turkey and... when I see certain people I feel more comfortable acting the same way as the other women that's just a personal respect issue for me that I have".
Lindsay Lohan is currently experiencing a unique change in her life as she is learning the Holy book Quran. She says she finds solace studying the Muslim Holy book and other religious texts. Rumours have also been circulating for some time that Lindsay has converted to Islam.
