I deem it my privilege to address our members on the auspicious occasion of the 24th Corporate Excellence Awards presentation ceremony. You are aware that the Management Association of Pakistan appeared on the management horizon in 1964.
A small but dedicated group of professional managers and entrepreneurs felt the need of such an organisation in the private sector in view of the growing demand for the trained managerial manpower consequent upon rapid industrialisation in the country.
The main objective of the Association is dissemination of knowledge and information on the latest management practices through organising seminars, conferences, conventions, training courses and competitions. With this objective in view, the Association instituted its Corporate Excellence Award in 1982. I am glad to say that since its inception as a small beginning the Award has become a prestigious accolade in the corporate sector.
I congratulate the chairman and members of the Corporate Excellence Award Sub-committee for their contribution and assistance extended to the Executive Committee in finalising the Award. I also compliment the efforts of MAP Secretariat for timely and successful implementation of the policies of the Executive Committee. I thank the MAP members and the management's of the nominated companies for the Award for their trust on the MAP Executive Committee as well as support and co-operation in the finalisation of the Award. At the end, I congratulate the winners of the 24th Corporate Excellence Award and certificates for their exemplary performance and fine achievements.
