Audit of sales tax and income tax starts on March 26

The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has announced to commence audit of sales tax and income tax from Monday. The system is ready, selection criteria has been evolved and the system will be in place on Monday initially from Lahore LTU.
While it will be replicated to LTU Karachi in next 10 days, said Member Audit Dr Abdul Razzak, while talking to newsmen, here on Saturday. "Initially, we are going to start sales tax and income tax audit for corporate sector only while its scope will be extended to non-corporate sector at a later stage," he pointed out.
