The students action committee of Jamia Hafsa (Lal Masjid) has said that despite the March 26 deadline the government has not yet started re-construction of the six demolished mosques in Islamabad.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, the action committee announced that after the deadline (March 26) they themselves would start re-constructions of the mosques.
The leaders of students action committee, including Hamna Abdullah, Amna Adeem and Khola Abdur Rehman, said that the one general was constructing the mosques while the other is demolishing it.
They said the general has started to bulldoze the mosques from Islamabad to pleasing America instead of Allah, adding that seven mosques have been bulldozed in a short span of two years.
They further said when they felt that no action is taken from any part of the country they decided to stop the demolition of the mosques and made the library hostage in protest.
They said after that the government constituted a committee for the construction of the mosques and even the foundation of Amir Hamaz Mosque was laid down, but so far neither Amir Hamaz Mosque was constructed nor other mosques were built which proved the ulterior motives of the government.
