The provincial president of Awami National Party (ANP), Bashir Ahmad Bilour has termed the Monday bomb blast and injuring of the party former Senator, Syed Aqil Shah an attempt of target killing.
Addressing a press conference here at Peshawar Press Club (PPC) Tuesday, Mr Bilour, who is also parliamentary leader of ANP in provincial assembly, demanded of both provincial and federal governments to arrest the culprits involved in the attempt immediately. He threatened launching of a protest campaign against both federal and provincial governments in the country.
He said that due to loose writ of law the lawlessness has made the lives of the people miserable, kidnapping for ransom and burglaries and broad day light dacoities had become a routine matter in the country. However, he said both federal and provincial governments have become silent spectators to the growing Talibanisation in the province.
In reply to a question, he said as there was no public meeting or demo the blast was aimed at killing of the senior ANP activist. However, he said that the party leadership would not be intimated through such cheap tactics.
