A former member of US Congress, Ms Cynthia Ann Mckinney, has strongly criticised the government of USA and said that it "is working against will and wishes of the people". Addressing members of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday night, she also criticised the Democrats and said that they were working against public mandate.
She said that the US-led war "is not only against humanity and mankind but is also a threat to this planet". She said that the public mandate to the Democrats was that war in Iraq should be stopped and armed forces should return home. Cynthia said that instead of armed forces' return home the US government was making plan to escalate war, and attack Iran.
She said that USA is a very big power and instead of transferring industrial technology it is transferring arms technology, missile technology and offering arms for sale. She said that the Democrats had also failed to impeach President Bush, Dick Cheney and Condoleezza Rice.
She said that politicians must tell the truth, and added that when she told truth about the 9/11 incident she was removed from Congress. UN Ambassador from Namibia, Kaire Mbuende, invited Pakistani textile exporters to visit Namibia and establish textile units in joint ventures.

Identifying areas of co-operation, he said that agriculture, mining, cement, and telecommunication are a few important sectors for co-operation, beside others. He invited Pakistani business community to visit Namibia to see the existing opportunities.
