The Karachi Port handled 63,092 tonnes cargo including 35,719 tonnes import, 27,373` tonnes export cargo and 3,370 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 63,092 tonnes dry cargo including 40,410 tonnes general cargo; 1,855 tonnes rice; 9,367 tonnes cement; 11,460 tonnes coal and no oil/liquid cargo. Five ships namely Hyundai Sprinter, Y M Moon, Nyzdan, Kota Perkasa and Islamabad sailed out to sea during the report period.
Two vessels viz Biro Bong and Raban-1 are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Biro Bong and Vancouver Victory expected to sail on Friday, while five vessels viz Eastmed Carrier, Yaad-e- Mohammed, Iran Hesabi, Oel Esteema and Oel Aishwarya are expected to sail on Saturday.
Five vessels viz Global Union, Iran Hesabi, Ltc Calvin P Titus, Pacific Pioneer and Sea Princess due to arrive on Friday, while two ships namely Bunga Kenari and Iron Butterfly are due to arrive on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 2,367 tonnes diesel oil; 426 tonnes edible oil; 11,634 tonnes coke; 7,069 tonnes wheat; 1,588 tonnes cement and 8,245 tonnes containerised cargo. Three ships namely C.V. Global Union, M.T. Warbah and C.V. Al-Wajba sailed out to sea during the report period. Container vessel CSAV Ningbo is currently at the outer anchorage and due to take berth on Friday.
Two vessels viz M.T. Yanaseni and M.T. Chahat due to arrive on Saturday, while four more ships namely C.V.ACX Lavender, C.V. MSC Palermo, C.V. MSC Carina and M.V. Lion Princess are due to arrive on Sunday.
