The local Christian community will observe Easter here on April 8 with religious fervour. Easter is the most important day for Christians which marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Special functions will be held in 50 churches of the city.
A large number of Christians will participate in the prayers held in these churches. The Christian localities and churches will be profusely decorated with colourful lights and arches here on the day. Father Bashir Francis will lead a special prayer in Holy Rosary Church Medina Town in which prayers will also be offered for the progress and prosperity of the country.
