The Karachi Port handled 95,117 tonnes cargo including 75,905 tonnes import, 19,212` tonnes export cargo and 3,875 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday. The cargo comprised of 59,117 tonnes dry cargo including 47,966 tonnes general cargo; 2,851 tonnes rice; 8,300 tonnes coal and 36,000 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Apl Shanzhen, Y.M. Faha, Corinthiakos, Yaad-e-Mohammed, Raban-1, Sea Princess and M.T.Shalamar sailed out to sea during the report period. Seven vessels viz Hyundai Highway, Y M Fortune, Tower Bridge, Selendang Mayang, Noni, M.T. Johar and Sea Glory are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Selendang Mayang, Y M Fortune and Sea Glory expected to sail on Thursday, while another vessel viz M.T. Johar is expected to sail on Friday. Six vessels viz Rising One, Apl Dalian, Victoria, Benarita, Hajee Khereh and Asian Queen due to arrive on Thursday, while four ships namely Hayley Nadhi, Teen, Naftocement XI and Red Sea Spirit are due to arrive on Friday.
The cargo comprised of 5,333 tonnes diesel oil; 8,250 tonnes carbon oil; 2,559 tonnes LPG; 2,052 tonnes wheat and 33,677 tonnes containerised cargo. Six ships namely C.V. Baghdad, M.T. Gulf Coast, M.T. Al-Maqwa, C.V. Nedlloyed Africa, C.V. Gothenburg Express and M.T. Yanaseni sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
Three vessels viz M.C. Chahat, C.V. Lucien and M.T. Gas Flowless are expected to sail on Thursday. A total of five ships carrying diesel oil, edible oil, rice and containers namely Alesievada, Taxi Archis-1, Maersk Barry, Saudi Hofuf and Lion Princess are currently at the outer anchorage.
Five ships namely C.V. Saudi Hofuf, M.T. Maersk Barry, M.V. Lion Princess, C.V. ACX Tsubaki and M.T. Alesievada due to take berths at Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Thursday.
